Randy Hanson
We all have books we have read that have made a difference for us in small and big ways. Here are the books that have influenced my coaching philosophy, and in some cases, changed it forever!
You can click directly on the link to investigate a particular book further if you like. I will continue to add recommendations, so check back often!
Although a business book, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team is one of the best I have read on team dynamics. The section on productive conflict is worth the price of the book alone.
It takes a little while to get through, but The Speed of Trust changed the way I look at team chemistry forever. I now use the "13 Behaviors" as an evaluation tool for team interaction.
Wooden on Leadership is one of the best books I have ever read regarding coaching, period!
Good to Great is a nice blueprint on what it takes to get a company, program and team to the "next level".
Shackleton's Way is not only a great story, but a great blueprint for leadership. Plus, you have to like a cover where they are playing soccer in the snow!
Many more to come ...
